The Mt. Juliet Police Department Communications center is located at the Mt. Juliet Police Department and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by police dispatchers. The communications center manages communications for the Police Department between citizens and police officers. This communications center is the critical link between the community and the Mt. Juliet Police Department. We are committed to gathering and disseminating important information to help protect life, property, and the environment. In doing so, the Mt. Juliet Police Department strives to provide citizens with the highest level of service. The communications center currently consists of six full-time and three relief dispatchers. These dedicated men and women are trained to serve the public and handle very busy telephone lines and very stressful, life-threatening situations. The dispatchers are required to be certified by Tennessee state law. They complete a 40 hour Tennessee Information Enforcement System (TIES) basic certification course through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The TIES network is the link that allows access to state and federal communications system, including the TBI's Tennessee Criminal History Repository, Tennessee Department of Safety databases, the Tennessee Crime Information Center, the FBI's National Crime Information Center, and the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System. This communications center is a vital part in the law enforcement and community service provided by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

Carrie Paris is the Director of Communications for the department.
